Do you remember the golden days of our nation?
Days when stars shone on our arenas
They brought forth talents unparalleled
The Biris and the Laos of those days Our Lamin Owens, Late Manneh Sillah and Sait Mbaye
Those gallant who showed the world
The glorious marvels of a Gambia so small
As we journey through our chronicles of Legends, the living greats, we honor Papa Gassama, Alagie Sarr, Sang Ndong Dodou Saine, Modou Musa, Amie Ndow Aziz corr and Paul Ogoo
The great-ness of our cause as a nation
A living reality amongst the constellation of countries and states of this world
We shan’t flounder in praise and thankfulness
For these men and women who beautified the name of our smiling coast. We celebrate them, Bless them

They will not be forgotten as long as we breathe
Their legacy belongs to the soul and vein of time
Names as honored as theirs are etched on the heartbeats
Of our countrymen and women forever more
This is in memory of those who passed to the other world
Their names and glories shall persist in our stories
As we narrate them unto generations yet unborn
We shall continue their legacy through the times
