The sectary general of the FF Cup-winning Brikama United Football Club Board, Saidou Gbla has informed Observer Sports of their plan to play in the CAF Confederation cup competition.
Brikama United defeated Bombada 1-0 in an all Brikama derby to be crowned champions of the FF Cup.
According to him, participating in the Confederation cup competition is one step of maintaining their players and as well attract players to the team.
Brikama United, he further told this reporter, will embark on an aggressive fund raising campaign.
“We know is not an easy task,but we [as a board and committee], will start the mission right away.”
The last time Brikama United represented the country in a CAF competition was in 2012 when the Sateba side clinched the league trophy in 2011 under the then coach Ensa Sambou.
