Brusubi Pak Food FC on Tuesday continued its winning run in the Manjai Kunda Nawettan with a 2-1 defeat of Ajax FC in their second Group D fixture.
It was the second consecutive win for the Brusubi outfit after securing a 2-0 defeat of D’ Dolphins in their opening encounter. The win has all but secured a place in the knockout stages of the competition for Pak Food.
Abdoulie Jammeh was the hero of the latest game when his quick fire brace after just nine minutes was enough to secure the narrow win. Alhagie Kujabi pulled a goal back for Ajax in the 21st minute but it proved to be a mere consolation.
Speaking in a post-match interview with Observer Sports, Kawsu Sanyang the Brusubi Pak Food Coach expressed delight with the win. He added that the team has so far played according to instructions.
For his part, the head of Ajax FC, Muhammed Jaiteh said he was very disappointed with the final result, saying they were expecting to win. He added that both goals they conceded were defensive errors.
