The Gambia senior cricket league continues at the July 22nd Square in Banjul with Saints playing Brikama B Team last Sunday.
The toss was won by Saints who decided to field. Brikama B Team batted in the first innings and scored 150 runs for 10 wickets in 19 overs. A. Ceesay batted and scored 26 runs, the highest for them while M. L. Bojang bowled 3 overs and took 4 wickets for 11 runs.
Brikama B team batted in the second innings and scored 151 runs in 15 overs for 7 wickets. Pa K. Jeng batted for them and scored 39 runs. B. Jaye bowled 3 overs and took 5 wickets for 16 runs. Saints won by 4 wickets.
International Tournament
Elsewhere, The Gambia National Female Cricket Team is presently training at the July 22nd Square in Banjul in preparation for the forthcoming Northwest Africa Cricket Championship (NWACC) to be held in Ghana in October 2016.
AGM
In another development, The Gambia Cricket Association has announced that it would hold its Annual General Meeting, on Friday 26th August 2016 at the July 22nd Square Hall in Banjul at 10:00am.
The Association added that copies of the last AGM minutes and the audited accounts would be available at the Cricket Secretariat on demand.
‘’Comments could be dropped at the Cricket Secretariat in Banjul before the aforementioned date because comments would not be allowed during the meeting,” the Association added.
