Black Star FC on Saturday clinched theBrufut league title after defeating Justice Stars FC 2-0, in a game played at the Brufut Lower Basic football field.
The first half show was a bit lackluster as both sides were only cohesive at the back meticulously studying each other’s attacks. The best moment of the game came when Lamin Bojang of Black Stars FC scored for his side in the 12th minute, while striker Alieu Jarju curled a left-footed effort into the back of the net resulting in a convincing win for the champions Balck Stars FC in the 45th minute of the second half.
Justice Stars FC played very well but Black Stars FC proved too strong for them.
As winners, Black Star FC were awarded a giant trophy and a cash prize of D30,000, while runners-up Justice Stars FC pocketed a consolation prize of D20,000.
Speaking in an interview with reporters shortly after the final whistle, SalifuBojang, head coach of Black Star FC, expressed delight for winning the final, nothing that it was a good match, as both teams made a respectable performance.
However, Saikou Ceesay, head coach of Justice Stars FC, was quite disappointed for losing the final, blaming the central referee for denying them a penalty.
