Central FC was on Saturday crowned champions of the Farato Bojang Kunda Youth tournament following a 3-2 post-match penalty win over closest neighbours Black Stars FC.
Played in Farato, the final attracted an overwhelming turnout including young and old, men and women who turned out to cheer their teams.
Winners Central FC pocketed home D2000 with a giant trophy, while Black Stars received D1000 as a consolation prize.
Ansumana Sawo was voted as the most valuable player of the tournament and won the “top goal scorer” award.
Speaking to Observer Sports after the game, Alagie Bakary Sanneh, member of the Council of Elders praised the organising committee for a successfully tournament.
Mr Musa Bah, a senior member of the organising committee thanked the teams, players and fans for making the tournament successful.
