Marimoo Defeat Prolongs Bomboda’s Search for a Win

Marimoo FC, the newly promoted team in the GFF division one league were on Saturday defeated Bombada FC 1-0 in week two fixtures of the GFF division one, prolonging the Brikama based team’s search for a win in the ongoing national premiere league season after.

The game that was played at the Brikama Box Ba Mini-Stadium gathered a host of fans from both teams.

Marimoo FC’s victory over Bombada FC helped to continue their 100% start to life in the pinnacle of Gambian football.

The team captain and attacker Yankuba Jallow’s (Prince) first half strike was the difference as the Manjai boys stunned Bombada in front of their home supporters.

Momodou Jallow, the coach who guided the team in the first division told reporters that motivation is high in their camp as most of the players put on new football boots during the game.

Jallow said that their target is not to win the league but their maintain their status in the first division team this year.

“We learned a lot from Bombada and will work on them,” Jallow asserted during the post-match interview.

Marimmo FC now boosts of six points in two games after beating fellow new side Tallinding Utd in the first game.

Meanwhile, Bombada now lost their opening two games ( Hawks and Marimoo) and the gaffer Lamin Anthony Ceesay knew their debacle in the league as of now and vowed to work on them. Cessay also accepted that they had a poor game and their opponents\ deserved the three points.
