Shortly after the unveiling of the Gambia’s Squad by coach Sang Ndong yesterday, Gambia and Swansea City’s sensational forward Mo Barrow has reacted to his return to the squad.

Barrow, who last Saturday made history by becoming the first Gambian to score a goal in the English Premier League, is among the foreign-based players invited by Sang Ndong for this all important encounter.

The Scorpion will play away to Mauritania in Nouakchott on the 25th March for the first leg of the double-legged qualifier tie for next year’s Gabon 2017 African Cup of Nation. The Scorpion will host the returned leg on the 29th March at the Independence stadium in Bakau.

“Good to be back and give 100% to the Gambia. We’ll go there (Mauritania) play without any pressure because we got a good team and I hope the nation supports the coach.” Barrow told BBC Sport’s Momodou Bah.
