Old Jeshwang men and The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) women volleyball teams were on Saturday crowned champions of their respective categories of the 2015 knockout competitions.
In the final played at the Manneh Sillah Memorial ground in Banjul, Old Jeshwang defeated GAF 3-2 to win the male competition to complete a league and cup double after winning the league championship in December.
In the early game of the day, the GAF women secured a comprehensive 3-1 defeat of Gamtel/Gamcel.
Trophies were awarded to various winners and cash prizes of 10,000 to the league champions, and 5,000 to the knockout winners. Interior Coach Ebrima Nyass was decorated as the most discipline coach by the Olympafrica Center in Serrekunda East.
