The Gambia Football Federation is hosting an important African football personality, Francis Akenteng, Technical Director for the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The Ghanaian, the GFF said arrived in The Gambia on the 15th February 2016 as guest of the Federation. He is a technical assistant sent by the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) upon a request from the GFF.
“His mission amongst others is to conduct a technical review and study of the GFF Technical Department with a view to advise the latter on how to restructure and strengthen the department and; and help draw up a technical development programme for the GFF in order to improve/enhance her technical capacity,” the GFF said in a press release sent to Observer Sports.
Akenteng, who is also a CAF Technical Instructor and member of CAF Technical and Development Committee, the GFF added will also be one of CAF instructors to conduct a CAF/GFF Club Licensing System Workshop in the country, slated for the 22nd and 23rd February, 2016.
