The qualifiers for the 2016 Brikama Sports Committee Nawettan kicked started last Wednesday when Alfama and Hearts of Africa played eachother at the Box Bar Mini-Stadium in the administrative capital of the West Coast Region.
Alfama won 10-9 in a dramatic post-match penalty shootout after a goalless stalemate at the end of regulation time.
In other games played so far, Borehole FC narrowly defeated Sanchaba Patriots 1-0, while Cash Money also saw off the challenge of Faraginda 1-0.
There were two games played last Saturday with Jalanbang village defeating Tintinbato 4-3 in a post-match shootout and Turntable FC won JBC 3-0.
On Sunday, Star Light of Farato defeated Jalanbang Utd 2-0, while Star Light Brothers FC also of Farato lost to Jaganas FC 3-2. On Monday, Gidda United for Peace were defeated 2-0 by Jos Musters.
Games continue today Wednesday as Misira Suwareh takes on Jambanjelly and Jamisa Gamcel lock horns with Yoba FC on Thursday.
Black Lions of Busumbala will play against Bakary Sambouya on Friday.
