The Lamin Youth and Sports Committee (LYSC) on Sunday held its 3rd Annual General Meeting (AGM), at the Babylon Lower Basic School, in Lamin Village of the West Coast Region.
The AGM was graced by the members of the Village Development Committee (VDC), and team representatives.
Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Lamin Sports Committee, Momodou Faal, commended his executive for the great work during the year under review.
He reaffirmed his commitment to making his zone the best and by extension to further developing sports in the Kombo North settlement. He informed delegates that there will be another meeting prior to the Nawettan proper, in which the laws governing the tournament would be reviewed and adopted.
“I urge teams and players to cooperate with the committee’s rules and regulation in the development of the Lamin Sports Zone”.
For his part, the Vice President of the committee, Abdou Karim Darboe, who doubled as the acting Treasurer, thanked all the team representatives for adopting their reports.
Representing the VDC, Ebrima Solo Jarju advised all teams through their representatives to work very hard ahead of the new season and to work closely with the committee for a successful Nawettan.
