Gambia trio Gina Bass, Adama Jammeh and Suwaibou Sanneh could not make it to the finals of the 100m of the African Senior Athletics Championships currently underway in Durban, South Africa.
Gina Bass finished 3rd in the semi final in the women’s with a timing of 11.63 and could be part of the best 8 to the final.
Adama Jammeh was ranked 4th in the male semi final with a timing of 10.29 and was ranked 9th in the overall semi final with only 8 making it to the finals.
USA-based Gambian sprinter Suwaibou Sanneh finished 3rd in his group with a time of 10.41 and was short of qualification timing to the finals.
Meanwhile, the 4th Gambian athlete in the competition, Alhagie Salim Drammeh did qualify for the semi finals of the 400m due to be held late yesterday (Thursday).
