Regulation time ended in a 1-1 draw before Gunjur went on to win 4-3 on a post-match penalty shoot-out.

tears-of-joy-1Sukuta took the lead in the 5th minute courtesy of Omar S Bah’s powerful shot outside the 18-yard box. Gunjur forced the game into the gruesome post-match kicks when Mbemba Fatty scored a last minute penalty.

Elsewhere yesterday, Banjul defeated record winners SK East in the other semis played at the SK West Mini-Stadium. The game ended in a goalless draw before the City Boys prevailed on another post-match shootout.
