The 2016 Super Nawettan sponsors FIBank on Wednesday presented jerseys to the finalists of this year’s competition.
The presentation, which was held at the FIBank main office, was graced by the managing director of the Bank, members of the Super Nawettan Organising Committee (SOC) and representatives from the finalists, Banjul and Gunjur.
Speaking at the occasion, Momodou Faal the secretary general of SOC thanked the sponsors for their tireless efforts in promoting sports in the country, especially football. He stated that the sponsors have always been there for them since the beginning of the competition, giving out money up to D100, 000 as preparation fees.
The managing director of FIBank, Pa Ousman Njie said that the sponsorship is all about reaching out to their customers. He disclosed that the Bank is going to award prizes to the best goalkeeper, the leading goal scorer, the player of the tournament and the best defender. “I wish to welcome you next year also for the same tournament; on that note, I thank you all,” he concluded.
Ebrima Jammeh, the manager of Gunjur zonal team thanked the Bank and the SOC for their efforts, while his counterpart from Banjul Ndongo Camara said they are excited by the financial support coming from the Bank.
