SWSDO Honors Late Observer Sports Reporter Oumie Jobe

The Sere-Kunda West Sports Development Organisation  (SWSDO) on Friday honored the late Daily Observer Sports Reporter Oumie Jobe for her immense contribution to the development and promotion of the zone’s sporting activities.

The Committee presented a certificate and an undisclosed amount of money to the family of the late Oumie Jobe on the sideline of the league final between Benghazi and Anfield at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

swsdo-1Sang Marie Sambou, the Secretary General of SWSDO expressed condolences to the family of Oumie Jobe and the media fraternity on the demised.

He remembered the late Oumie Jobe as a very hard working journalist who happened to be a very respectful person and was always there for the SWSDO committee each time she is needed.

He therefore urged other journalists to emulate the Late Oumie Jobe.

Receiving the certificate, Abdoulie Jarju (Uncle to the Late Oumie Jobe), expressed appreciation on behalf of the family to the SWSDO Committee for remembering the good role Oumie Jobe has played during the Nawettan season as she was a very hard working reporter.

Alieu Ceesay, Observer Sports Editor commended SWSDO for remembering the Late Oumie Jobe. “Oumie Jobe was one of the most dedicated, hardworking and respectful reporters I have worked with. There was never a day that you will assign Oumie Jobe to  coverage and she deliberately refused to go. I will forever remember her for the good legacy she left behind. This is a lesson for all of us [journalists] that we should try to work hard to leave a good legacy that we would be remembered for,” said Editor Alieu Ceesay.
