Defending league champions Gambia Ports Authority defeated Football Federation-Cup holders Brikama United 1-0 to clinch the GFF Super Cup.
Adama Cham’s 45 minutes earned the ferry boys the trophy in a final played on Saturday at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
Speaking to Observer Sports after the game, Hagie Tunkara, the assistant head coach of GPA, said his side started poorly in the game but grew positively as the match progressed.
He applauded his players for the victory and thanked all those who turned up to cheer the team.
Sulayman Kuyateh, the Brikama United head coach, expressed disappointed at the defeat.
As winners, GPA pocketed home a giant trophy and cash prize of D75, 000; while Brikama United received a consolation prize of D50, 000.
