The head coach of Bombada FC, Lamin Anthony Cessay, has vowed that Bombada FC will never sell their players to their nemisis Brikama United. He was speaking in the aftermath of their refusal to let star player Mustapha Drammeh join the Federation Cup winners in the close season.
He was speaking with reporters after his side’s defeat to Marimoo FC on Saturday at the Boxba Mini-Stadium in Brikama.
The FF cup holders throughout the off-season targeted to sign Bombada’s prolific attacker to add flair to their side in preparation for the CAF Confederations Cup early next year.
“We will not sell him,” Anthony said. ”I will never sell my players to Brikama Utd based on facts.”
Mustapha has now given the captain arm band to Drammeh to motivate him to stay with the club. He was Bombada’s top scorer last season and he is the only Bombada player to have scored against Brikama Utd in a competitive game.
Sources close to the team disclosed that many Bombada players want to move, but were denied by the team. Mustapha is also reported to be attarcting interest from champions GPA.
