Bayern Central on Tuesday collected maximum points in their first game of the Manjai Kunda Nawettan following a 1-0 defeat of Real de Sanchaba in a game played at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai.
It was a tough encounter as both teams strove to score after throwing away many chances, but Pa Matarr Mboge’s header in the 39th minute was enough for his side to secure a win.
Speaking to Observer Sports in a post- game interview, Peter Gomes, head coach of Bayern Central expressed delight for winning his first game, noting that despite coaching the team for the first time, Bayern is known for its winning spirit.
He promised a better season despite losing many players through the ‘Back Way’ to Europe.
Assan Sarr, assistant coach of Sanchaba attributed the defeat to defensive error. He was however impressed with the performance of his boys.
