The 2016 Lamin Sports Committee-organised Nawettan knockout tournament is in full swing as teams continue to battle it out for the coveted trophy.
In the knockout, EK Gambia FC defeated Ron Tababi FC 4-2, Medina United defeated World Eleven 3-2, Head Stars defeated Veteran 4-0, all on penalty shoot-outs.
Meanwhile, Harlem FC has also been sent packing by Villas following a 1-0 defeat. Sateba United defeated Wayeto West by a lone goal to nil; Jatta’s FC also defeated EK Gambia 4-2 on penalty shoot-out.
Gambinos defeated both Sotokoto FC and Wayeto West by one goal to nil in both games.
Kombo Kerewan conquered Sanchaba 5-0 on penalty shoot-out, Si pah bi FC defeated Head Stars by a goal to nil.
On Sunday, after a series of missed chances, Prison crushed London United 3-0 during the 3pm game and Universal defeated Sateba United 4-2 on penalty shoot-outs.
