Sky Power and Orlando are both out of the Brikama Sports Committee (BSC) league round of 16 following respective defeats by Yarambamba and Conge-bi over the weekend.

Sky Power, the knock-out and the league simi-finalist last year are now completely out of the 2016 BSC Nawetan as they lost to Yundum-based academy side Yarambamba by Babucarr Jobe and Karamo Jobe’s second half goals on Saturday at the 3pm kick-off.

Sky Power dominated the proceeding but couldn’t unlock their opponent and thus bade farewell to the Nawettan.

In the 5pm encounter on Saturday, it was Orlando who were stunned by Banjulinding-based Conge-bi as they lost by 3-1.

Orlando, one of the finest teams in the group stages with 9 points and seven goals, capitulated against the energetic Conge-bi side.  Just 18 seconds on the clock, the score sheet changed when an under-pressure Orlando defender Ousman Sanyang nodded in an own goal.

Orlando fought hard to ensure parity in the game before Patrick Sambou, adding that Conge-bi’s lead just 6 minutes into the second half.  Attacker Lamin Darboe scored for Orlando, before Wuyeh Jammeh closing the score sheet.

On Sunday at 3pm, Fortune defeated Kabafita in the post-match penalty shoot-out and at 5pm, Chimo UTD ended Misira UTD’s participation in the Nawettan by defeating them 1-0 courtesy of Dembo Darboe.

Yesterday (Wednesday) at 3pm, Puntalana was to take on Talli bi, while the 5pm game was to be between Nema UTD versus Gidda Youths.
